When They're Down, Lift Them UP!

My heart sank when one of my students tole me he had a tumor in his knee and had to have surgery to have it removed. I immediately thought I have to do something to show love and support. At the beginning of the school year, I gave each of my over eighty something students a "Getting to Know You Survey." I had class conversations with each student in all of six of my classes getting to know their interests, likes, and dislikes.

I wanted to create a card that was personalized and spoke to the character of the student that had to have surgery. I created a class card and asked all of my students to sign the card letting him know we are thinking and praying for him. #NeverKillAKidsDream
