When it comes to standardized testing, some students have a difficulty achieving a satisfactory score, especially the ACT. This speed bump can be frustrating for high school students who are taking the ACT test. Certain universities and colleges require incoming freshman to have a certain ACT score to be considered for admission. If achieving a certain ACT score is difficult for you, research the university or college's "And/Or Policy." An "And/Or" policy is is when a university/college looks at your overall GPA and class ranking. Most universities require a minimum of a 2.5 GPA and rank in the top 25% of your senior class. If having an average GPA isn't in the cards for you, but you still desire a college education, apply to a community college. Everyone deserves a chance at a formal education.
