My Hate Became My Passion

I hated school. After my first day of preschool, I went one day and wanted to quit. Even during my graduation from Southeastern Louisiana University, I was ready to go. My overall goal as a child was to get through school as quickly as possible and never return. Little did I know my hate for school would actually turn into my passion. I discovered my calling in education when I met a human resource manager from LSU. She made one statement that changed my life, "In the corporate world it's all about you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours, but in the educational world it's all about making a friend." Making a friend fit my personality. My service to the community is the help those who want to further their education and career. No amount of money could feel the happiness I have in helping others peruse their goals in higher education.
"The only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve." -Dr. Albert Schweitzer
